Sustainable Development Indicators, 2008
The first edition of an 'In Your Pocket' booklet on Sustainable Development Indicators for Wales provides measures of everyday concerns including health, housing, jobs, crime, education and our environment. The Statistical Release presents some background to the publication, and a summary table from the booklet.
Poverty, Deprivation, and Social Justice Seminar
The Welsh Assembly Government is holding a seminar which will present different ways of measuring and estimating levels of poverty, deprivation, and social exclusion.
It will be held on 2 October 2008 (Thursday) at the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells and will run from 10:00 to 16:00.
There is no charge for the event and places are limited. For further information about the seminar and to reserve your place please complete the registration form.
State of the Environment
The first State of the Environment report was published by the Statistical Directorate on 24 July.
The State of the Environment bulletin presents data on some of the key indicators monitoring progress against the Welsh Assembly Government’s Environment Strategy. The full set of data, analysis, and notes on all of the indicators are available through our StatsWales website, presented in a series of online reports linked to tables of information which the user can manipulate or download.
