The security of electronic data is one of the central principles of the IMS. To enable schools to exchange and send data safely the Assembly has provided two secure websites.
This pack is designed to provide advice and guidance materials to support schools in their implementation of the Assembly’s Information Management Strategy (IMS).
Through the collection of individual pupil data the Assembly is aiming to reduce the number of data requests made to schools.
One of the main messages of the IMS is that data should only be stored or collected if it is going to be useful!
