Setting local speed limits
This consultation deals with proposals for setting local speed limits in Wales.
It is intended that the guidance be used for setting all local speed limits on single and dual carriageway roads in both urban and rural areas.
The consultation builds on the Circular Roads 1/93 (Department of Transport / Welsh Office 1993) report to reflect important developments in speed management and the increased knowledge of the relationship between speed and the risk of collisions.
Action Required: Responses by 29 August 2008.
